Born to be a yogi? If you maintain a regular yoga practice, you might want to thank your mother! Children of moms who remained active during pregnancy tend to be more physically active themselves, suggests preliminary research from Baylor College of Medicine. And observational studies have also shown mom’s healthy habits continue to rub off after the baby is born, increasing the chances for a lifelong predisposition to exercise.

Our Body's Natural Boundry System:
Our physical body has its own barrier systems that are essential to optimum health and can serve as a barometer for setting limits. Here are just a few:
» The autonomic nervous system (ANS) controls respiration and heart rate, among other things. It constantly scans our inner and outer environments to decide what’s safe and when to sound the alarm. When it’s out of balance, we become vulnerable to anxiety and depression.
» The immune system assesses what’s “me” and what isn’t; if it detects something foreign, it mounts a response to fight it. When this system is out of balance, we get sick often or suffer from autoimmune conditions.
» The enteric nervous system (ENS), often called our “second brain,” determines what’s nourishing and what causes inflammation. This system not only controls our digestion, it also plays a key role in immune response. And it helps regulate mood. When it’s out of whack, we get gut disorders, bacterial and mood imbalances, and more
If you feel like something is out of balance, just take a break and learn how to say "NO!".

🥂 Do you even Kombucha?
Go ahead, order a second round … of kombucha. Research has already shown that the fermented drink, as well as other probiotic-rich foods like kefir and yogurt, can help boost your immune system. Now, UCLA research suggests that the anti-inflammatory properties of good gut bacteria can slow or even prevent the development of some types of cancer!

Pose of the day: Utkatasana
(Fierce Pose, more commonly known as Chair Pose)
Benefits: Strengthens the muscles in your thighs and feet; increases ankle mobility; tones your core muscles.
Instruction1. Stand with your feet together, hands on your hips. To create the stable platform needed for this deep squat, find the center of balance in each foot. Play with shifting your weight between the inner and outer edge of each foot as well as between the ball and heel, until you find the sweet spot. You’ll know you’ve found it when you feel a “tripod effect”—a sense of equal pressure between the bases of the big and little toes and your heel. Keep your weight evenly distributed between each leg. 2. Exhale as you bend your knees, sending your buttocks behind you as you sit on an imaginary chair. When you can no longer maintain the tripod effect in your feet, stop bending your knees. Engage your legs and hips by gently pressing the legs toward each other and hugging the hips toward your midline. 3. Raise your arms overhead, with your palms facing each other. If your low back starts to overarch (you’ll feel a sensation of pinching or compression), draw your low ribs toward your hip points until you feel your pelvis level out. Just don’t overdo it—you don’t want to overcorrect to the point that the top of your pelvis tilts backward. Finally, create a sense of space equally across the front and back body by spreading your upper back, externally rotating the shoulders, and widening across the chest. Stay for 5 to 10 breaths. 4. To exit the posture, push firmly through your feet to extend your legs, and then release your arms down by your sides.
10 Steps to look younger...
The secret of the youth has been searched for a long time ago. Many researchers have done some experiments to find ways to slow down the aging process.
There are some techniques that have been implemented, but the most important things for us to do are being consistent in implementing a healthy lifestyle and eating habits.
We can’t stop the natural change, but we can still look younger if we want to work hard to slow down the aging process.
Therefore, I’m going to help you with 10 easy steps to make you look younger:
Detox – It’s important to start detoxification, getting rid of toxin from our body. Our body metabolism has done that process, but in everyday life, we are exposed to so many chemical hazards from air, food, and the environment. Fasting or just consuming fruits are ways to detoxify our bodies (But don't do this for long as it can have harmful side effects).
Sleep – Having enough sleep at least 6-8 hours a day will make our skin healthier. Having a good sleep is also important because growth hormone is working during that time. It renews the old cell of our body, including the skin cell. Our skin will look fresh and young if we have enough sleep.
Food – Eating healthy and safe food every day will make our body fit, slim, and also look younger. Try to eat more fish instead of red meat. Fiber food, vegetables, fruits, and supplements are important food to consume. Drink less coffee and other caffeine beverages.
Exercise – Through routine exercise, we will feel happier, energetic, and confident. It also increases our bone density and muscle which can make our body look 15-20 years younger. Besides aerobics, walking, and swimming goes also to the gym to do lifting exercises.
Relax – By trying to be relaxed, our face will look younger. Stress and worries appear on our face. If we can manage our stress and feel at peace, our face will look younger and more attractive.
Be Positive – A positive mind and affirmation are said to bring positive life to us. Negative thoughts tend to bring failure and make us look older and unattractive. Meditation is one way to make positive thoughts.
Medical Check-up – Just like a car, our body also needs attention and care so it can work well every day. Having routine medical checkups during our healthy time is important to recognize diseases as soon as possible.
Active Life – Always try to be active during your life. Activities can increase health; and if you are in your elder age, your memory will increase too.
Social Life – Happy social life can increase our spirit, bring a peaceful mind, and make us feel and look younger. Communication with our friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, and others can bring happiness to us.
Performance – Start to look at our performance. Is our body weight ideal for us? If not, try to fix that to the best ideal weight. Also look at the skin, hair, nail, and teeth. Those are important as they will show our age. Looks good and feels good and will increase our performance.
