Accepting Uncertainty
“The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the amount of uncertainty you can comfortably deal with.” ~Tony Robbins
Uncertainty makes us feel vulnerable and so we try and escape it any way that we can.
We convince ourselves that we are fortune tellers and can therefore see the future. We make ourselves crazy, spinning our minds through the same handful of scenarios we come up with, over and over again, never feeling any closer to some sort of resolution.
But it seems like a big contradiction of life that we really flourish when we learn to live with uncertainty. What we do in uncertain times determines a great deal about our lives.
We might never develop if there were no uncertainty because we wouldn't be forced to step outside of our comfort zones.
Many of us have experienced staying in a soul-sucking job or an unhealthy relationship because the uncertainty of leaving those situations created more anxiety than the certainty of staying in those unhappy situations.
Many people decide against pursuing their actual passions because they believe it to be impossible or because there is a great deal of perceived uncertainty involved in doing so.
When we venture into the unknown, nothing can be guaranteed. However, it is at these uncomfortable times that some of the most significant adventures in life happen.
It takes bravery, faith, and trust to make peace with uncertainty. You must believe that you will be taken care of, that you will overcome any obstacle, and that you don't have to know all the answers right now.
Contrary to popular ideas, not knowing exactly what will happen next in our lives is okay. It is actually liberating, in fact.
Living a happy, joyful, and free life requires the capacity to let go, to not know, and to not attempt to fully control what will happen next.
The majority of spiritual traditions encourage us to entertain the idea that a force bigger than ourselves might be at work, in which case it's acceptable to occasionally surrender control.
When I can acknowledge that there are other factors at work and that events outside of my control are affecting my life and what lies ahead, I have found it much easier to let go of situations.
If we fixate on “solving” problems, we tend to get tunnel-visioned and we walk around with blinders on, failing to see the possibilities.
We can’t embrace a new uncertain future when we are fully attached to our old lives or an idea of how we think something should be.
My intuition is frequently drowned out by the chaos in my head that is trying to manage everything while I'm in that frightened, anxious state where I'm trying to sort everything out on my own.
When we accept that things are unknown, that we don’t have all of the answers, we can see that teachings are always available if we are paying attention. That chatter in our own brains stops when we trust, let go, and welcome the unknown.
Paradoxically, the stillness that results from letting go of the need to know then makes it possible for us to connect with our own intuition. As a result, we are able to feel more certain about the course we are taking and receive better guidance from our hearts.
I have found meditation to be an incredibly useful tool to facilitate this connection. Carving out time in my day specifically for getting quiet and getting still has allowed me to find some peace with the fact that, for today, I don’t have all the answers of what’s going to happen next.

All of us tend to focus on our negatives and our struggles more than looking at the positives and understanding them. The tarot card readings help you in gaining a deeper understanding and insight to their experiences. Not only that, it also helps the individuals to ease their anxiety and worry, as well as the fear they feel for the uncertain future.
By being calm and peaceful, it also helps us get over our struggles and the obstacles we face in life. Another thing tarot card reading does is that it helps us gain a better clarity of what we want in our lives. Our perspectives become more clearer, and we develop a better understanding and keen sense of knowledge as well.

72-Year-old Graduates from College with His 99-year-old Mom Cheering Him On…
Sam Kaplan of Lawrenceville, Georgia has added many items to his resume over the years. But on May 11th, in his 72nd year of life, he added a particularly late line item—a college degree.
Alongside classmates 50 years his junior, Kaplan crossed the stage in cap and gown to receive an undergraduate degree in Cinema and Media Arts from George Gwinnett College. His 99-year-old mother was there to see it all and cheered as well as she could.
DID YOU KNOW?
Be kind to yourself
On a similar note, regular mindfulness practice can make you aware of the self-criticism you have living within you, and as a result, make you wonder if there’s something wrong with you.
PSA: There’s nothing wrong with you and most people think exactly what you’re thinking (so did I).
When you sit in meditation, go easy on yourself. Most of us are filled with difficult emotions, which could be stress, anxiety, sorrow, envy, disappointment, confusion, loneliness, or one of the other countless emotions we experience throughout our life.
Kicking yourself over these emotions is natural, but it won’t help. So, it’s a habit you should work to break over time as best as you can manage.
