6 Ways To Activate Your Intuition

1. Quiet Your Mind

The first step in activating your intuition is to quiet your mind. This can be accomplished by doing so through mindfulness practices, meditation, or by finding a quiet place to rest and take deep breaths. When your mind is still and tranquil, you are more receptive to the guidance of your intuition. By stilling your consciousness, you gain access to your body, an essential instrument of intuition.

2. Pay attention to your body

Intuition encompasses not only cognitive but also physical components. Consider the sensations of your body as you confront a decision or circumstance. Do you feel tranquil or tense? Do you have a knot in your stomach or a feeling of lightness? These bodily sensations may serve as significant indicators of the guidance provided by your intuition.

More researchers are examining the relationship between the intestine and the brain, and it has been established that 90% of our serotonin (a neurotransmitter that regulates mood and functions as a happy hormone) is produced in the gut. Occasionally, the gut-brain connection is referred to as the "second brain." Neuroscientists at Johns Hopkins are discovering how this part of our body communicates more and more with our ‘big brain.’

3. Listen and trust yourself

The essence of intuition is having faith in oneself and one's inclinations. Do not disregard a sensation or a hunch that you have. Trust that your intuition is leading you in the right direction. The more you trust yourself, the more your intuition will speak to you.

Intuition activation is not an instantaneous procedure. To develop the ability to tune in to one's interior voice requires time and effort. Trust the process, and don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen overnight. With continued self-belief and effort, your intuition will progressively grow stronger.

4. Practice Mindfulness

By cultivating mindfulness, one can effectively stimulate their intuition. By being mindful, one is completely engrossed in the present moment and able to more effectively access their intuition. By enabling you to access a heightened state of awareness, mindfulness can facilitate a more intuitive interpretation of bodily signals that may be relevant to the decision-making process.

By attending to your surroundings, concentrating on your breath, and participating actively in conversations, you can incorporate mindfulness into your daily life.

5. Understand the science behind intuition

While intuition may seem like a mystical or spiritual concept, there is actually a scientific basis for it. According to research, intuition is the result of your subconscious mind, past experiences, and current environment collaborating to provide you with information that you may not be aware of with your conscious mind. In Gerd Gigerenzer's book "Gut Feelings: The Intelligence of the Unconscious," this is elaborated upon in greater detail.

Our intuition is a more profound link to the unconscious than a mere thought.

6. Pay attention to your dreams

Often reflecting your subconscious thoughts and emotions, dreams can serve as a potent source of intuition. Observe recurring symbols or themes in your dream journal, as they may contain significant messages from your intuition.

An additional investigation that was published in the scholarly journal "Consciousness and Cognition" discovered that individuals who direct their attention towards their dreams exhibit enhanced capacity to consult their intuition and render more judicious choices.

CRYSTAL OF THE DAY

TIP OF THE DAY

Breathe before eating. We often move from one task right to the other without pausing or taking a breath. By pausing, we slow down and allow for a more calm transition to our meals. Bring your attention inward by closing your eyes, and begin to breathe slowly in and out of your belly for eight to 10 deep breaths before you start your meal.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Remember being happy doesn’t mean you have it all. It simply means you are thankful for all you have.
