The Ayurvedic Clock- Balance Your Routine With Natures Time

Our mind and body work best when they are calmed by a natural routine that brings out the best in us so we can put our best foot forward and do well in life.

The ayurvedic clock is a 24-hour guide that aims to support our natural circadian rhythm.

Each dosha (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) is more active at different times of the day and night over the course of 24 hours.

This Ayurvedic clock shows what time each dosha is active and what we should do to best serve our mind, body, and soul. This helps us adapt to our natural rhythm, giving us energy, vitality, rest, and rejuvenation at the right times.

Ayurveda and many other Eastern medical systems say that we will live a full, healthy, and long life if we live in tune with nature's dance.

2 a.m., to 6 a.m. are Vata hours. Activities include light sleep, getting rid of waste, meditating, visualizing, and being creative.

6 a.m. to 10 a.m. is Kapha time. It's time to wake up, get ready for the day, go to the bathroom, eat a light breakfast, and work out.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is Pitta time. It's time to get yourself together, make plans, and act. Your metabolism is strongest in the middle of the day, so lunch should be the biggest meal of the day.

2 to 6 pm is a Vata time of day. Move around early in the evening, talk with people, and eat your last meal around 6 p.m.

From 6 to 10 at night is Kapha time. This is a time for settling in, slowing down, going inside, and getting ready for bed. So that you can get a good night's sleep, you should be in bed and asleep by 10 p.m. Between 10 pm and 12 pm is when deep change and healing happen.

10 pm – 2 am; Pitta time. Deep integration, dreams, and actions are done by the subconscious.

Take a moment to think about this 24-hour guide and think about how you might be able to incorporate some of the suggestions into your daily life so that you can work with your natural circadian rhythm, which helps to balance hormones, reduce stress, and improve your health.

🌟 WEEKLY ASTROLOGY

As Mars exits its retrograde motion and resumes its forward movement in the sign of Gemini this week, it ushers in an upsurge in vitality, motivation, and enthusiasm.

Mars is the astrological symbol for our inner courage, passion, and drive. The creative life energy is what pushes us toward our objectives. We are able to make choices that are in our best interests because of the self-definitive part of our nature.

The way we relate to, embody, and express our impulses changes whenever Mars is in motion of any kind. Mars has an impact on how we act, express anger, follow our interests, and work with ambition.

We are led into the craving for knowledge, absorbing knowledge, and sharing through dialogue as the passion and drive of Mars join forces with curious and inquisitive Gemini. During this phase, we are endowed with mental acuity, which may be demonstrated by reasoning, planning, logic, and linear thinking.

This transit may give us the impression that our inner passions have been rekindled, and we are once more filled with excitement as we enter the new year. And as Mercury completes its retrograde phase the following week, the feeling that everything is turning green and that doors are opening will only get stronger.

MANTRA OF THE WEEK

Om Gam Ganapati Namaha

"We call in Ganesha, the remover of obstacles."

This mantra calls the Ganesha, the elephant-headed mischievous god who is revered in Hinduism as the master of knowledge and the remover of obstacles. We invoke Ganesha, the destroyer of obstacles, is how this mantra is translated into English. The bija mantra for Ganesha is the sound Gam, which sounds like gum. Within that single sound is everything that Ganesha is said to stand for. When you feel stuck or creatively blocked, when you need a shift of perspective, or when life seems exceptionally difficult and you're not sure why, invoke Ganesha to clear your way.
