Quote of the day...

“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.”

TODAY'S LEARNING
Tips To Enjoy Life More

1. Take discovery walks.

I attempt to learn ten new things every fifteen minutes when I go for a stroll a few times a week. Little temples, a cemetery, a freshwater spring, a playground, and some new acquaintances have all been discovered.

It's critical to keep in mind that our daily surroundings offer constant opportunities for fresh discoveries. Take a stroll and make a goal to discover ten new, fascinating objects. You may be taken aback by what you find out.

2. Attend free local events.

If I come across a sign advertising an event while out and about in the community, I make a note of the day, time, and place. The fact that these are outdoor and free is their best feature. I like to head to farmers markets where there is food, culture, and happy people.

Head to your local city or county office and get a list of all the upcoming activities. There are events happening all the time. Who knows what kind of treasures you might come across? If it’s something you wouldn’t normally do, that’s even more awesome!

3. Take lessons or classes.

I made up my mind to try something completely alien to me, so I enrolled in Japanese tea classes.

Among the group's members are women over forty-five, green tea, and me. This is new to me and absolutely outside of my comfort zone. I'm surprised to say that I adore it!

Don't be afraid to attempt new things, even if you don't believe they're for you. I used to have no interest in tea rituals and never drank tea. However, since then, I've met new people and seen a different aspect of the culture.

Step outside and make a fresh start.

4. See the sights.

Which well-known sites are in your area? Go check them out. Even if you've been there before, try learning something new about them. Go find some less well-known sights in your neighborhood if there aren't any renowned ones already.

5. Keep a gratitude journal.

I make a list of at least five things I was grateful for each day. I then review my list at the end of each week. This means I have thirty-five reasons to be grateful (from the whole week).

Give it a go. It can truly make you appreciate everyday life more.

WEEKLY ASTROLOGY

This week, when Venus ends her retrograde motion, we also come out of our inner darkness. And we move forward, clearer, and more vigorously while doing so.

In May of this year, Jupiter began a one-year chapter by entering Taurus. This has been a time to cultivate our aspirations, bring our wishes to life, and give our lives a sense of enduring beauty, stability, and security. On September 4. Jupiter retrograde continues through the remainder of the year, until it goes direct on December 31, 2023, still in the grounded earth sign of Taurus.

POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY

Burning coal and gas for generating electricity fell to record lows in the European Union this year, according to analysts at the energy thinktank Ember.

Ember said that Falling demand for electricity and a renewables surge drove a 17 per cent “collapse” in fossil fuel generation for the first six months of the year. Meanwhile, solar increased by 13 per cent and wind by five per cent.

Seventeen countries also generated record shares of power from clean sources, with Greece and Denmark (main picture) surpassing 50 per cent for the first time, and Denmark and Portugal topping 75 per cent.

“Coal and gas are too expensive, too risky, and the EU is cutting them out,” said Ember analyst Matt Ewen.

CRYSTAL OF THE DAY

LEARN SANSKRIT
Ayurveda (ayoor -vay -thah)

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian medical tradition. The term comes from the Sanskrit words ayur, which means "life" or "longevity," and veda, which means "knowledge" or "science."

Ayurveda is founded on two fundamental principles. The very first concept is that the body and mind are inextricably linked, and the second is that the mind has the power to heal the body. Only after one's awareness of oneself expands will the body be cured of illness. Yoga and Ayurvedic medicine are inextricably linked. Both have their origins in the Vedas. Ayurveda strives to keep the mind and body balanced so that the person stays healthy.
