In order to keep our chakras and energies in balance, we occasionally need to rely on tools. Crystals are a very potent energy source and healer. It takes an enormous amount of energy—millions of years' worth of heat and pressure, in fact—to form a single crystal. Crystals communicate with our own energy field to effect and sway us. Based on their own special characteristics, they absorb our energy and reflect it. The chakras and crystals are energetic partners that help us connect to the larger energy field and find our place there.

We can tune into the wellbeing and vibrancy of the chakras and realign them using instruments like gemstones. Working with crystals and the chakras reveals how intricately related we are to everything in our environment. We can learn vital information about our personal energies from them, including how we are reflecting and refracting stories about our own experiences into the outside world.

Placing a crystal on an appropriate chakra for roughly 15 minutes to rebalance the energy center is one technique to access a crystal's therapeutic ability. Feel the vibrations entering your being as you hold the crystal in your hands. Say, "I dedicate this crystal to my highest good and the highest good of all others," focusing your concentration on the crystal. I request that it be given power right away so that it can cooperate with my own goals.

Use high-vibration crystals to amplify your consciousness. Either sit with the crystal in your hand or place it on your third eye or crown chakra. Gently inhale and concentrate your attention on the stone. Allow the process to take its course without attempting to see or feel anything.

The most prevalent connection between crystals and chakras is through vibration; resetting and opening the chakras by working with crystal energy's vibratory strength. The power of crystals can be used on a regular basis to cleanse and re-energize your chakras, which helps you keep your energy at its peak and increases your sense of personal power.

Each chakra is associated with a different gemstone, and using a crystal as an energy source during activities like meditation is immensely cleansing. Select a crystal that is known to have attributes similar to the chakra you are focusing on and take a moment to attune to the crystal for a well-balanced crystal healing or meditation.

Researchers at the California Academy of Sciences introduced nearly 150 new species to the Earth's tree of life.

The list includes 28 new Bavayia gecko – a species found in New Caledonian forests – and the Minnesota mountain onion, which is believed to be confined to just two peaks in California’s Klamath Mountains.

While this was going on, 14 brand-new sea slug species, some measuring as little as 2 mm, were discovered in the Indo-Pacific region. Additionally discovered items include flowers, scorpions, and the vibrant fairy wrasse (pictured).

According to Shannon Bennett, the academy's chief of science, "new species research is essential for comprehending the diversity of life on Earth and identifying habitats most in need of protection."
