LEARN TODAY:
Clearing Negative Energy

Have you ever had the feeling that bad people or energies are drawn to you like a magnet? Since these energies have the potential to negatively impact your health and quality of life, it is imperative that you learn how to dissolve, transmute, and release them.

1. Dust off your area

Burning dried sage or other dried herbs is an ancient tradition known as smudging, which is used to purify a person or space. With sage, sandalwood, mugwort, or other dried herbs in hand, simply light a small corner of the herb and blow it out. To ensure that the ash does not break, it is important to place it in some sort of holder. Though a plate will work just as well, I prefer to use a huge clam shell. If you or someone else is in need of clearing, then let the smoke circulate your body from the crown of your head to the bottom of your feet.

2. Ring bells or wind chimes

One popular feng shui tool is the ringing of bells or wind chimes, which literally vibrates the negative energy into alignment and creates a positive flow, or chi. Ringing a portable bell at each location where a bad event or disagreement occurred is an easy method to release any trapped or negative energy in your home. There are also meditative yoga chimes (om tingsha bells) and singing bowls that are great for clearing and aligning your chakras, and symbolizing a shift in energy; they're often used in Tibetan ceremonies and meditations.

3. Take salt water baths to purify and dissipate negative energy

In addition to relieving tense muscles and promoting additional relaxation to help let go of tension and negativity, a therapeutic bath also helps break down stored lactic acid. To further aid in the purification of your body and aura, I advise making an intention to expel all negativity while you soak.

4.Find the right crystal for you

You can carry a crystal about your house, in your pocket, or as jewelry. There are many various kinds of crystals available, each with special healing qualities and functions. But if you follow your intuition while selecting the ideal crystal for you, it will lead you to the one you require.

5.Cut the cords to the past

Visualize a cord that extends from your solar plexus and connects to every person you have ever met. Have you ever observed that as soon as you begin to move on from a relationship that is no longer beneficial to you, the other person calls or contacts you? I usually assume that they had to sense the retracting of their connection.

We all unconsciously carry these negative cords from past relationships and experiences that could be weighing us down and preventing us from moving forward. Imagine your cords pulling back into your body, one at a time, and gradually regaining your power with each one as you release them.

Cutting the negative cords visually is another technique in the toolbox. Make the gesture of actually cutting the cords with your hands in the shape of scissors if you're a visual learner.

Today, we can say that reflexology is ideal for not only curing pain (which is a primary symptom showing something is amiss in your body) but also the root cause of the pain. It is little wonder then that reflexology therapy has become very popular as a form of holistic healing, unlike pharmaceutical drugs that mostly address only the symptoms. Not to mention that reflexology is a great form of disorder prevention too!

Providing detailed and accurate anatomical drawings, zone and reflex maps, and muscle tables, the bundle outlines each body system, explaining how, when, and why to work the reflexes. CRYSTAL OF THE DAY

POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY

The four-day week has spread to the Caribbean, with the Dominican Republic becoming the latest country to trial the concept.

Public and private firms are being invited to take part in the trial from February. Employees will earn the same but will only work 36 hours a week, instead of 44.

The four-day week has often been dismissed as utopian thinking, but trials have gone some way to silence critics. The results of the world’s largest four-day week pilot, which took place in the UK, suggested it was a win-win for employees and bosses. Critics also question whether the benefits can be maintained long-term.

DID YOU KNOW?

Meditation can be a more effective painkiller than morphine.

Meditation as a painkiller works by calming the somatosensory cortex in the brain, while inciting activity in other parts of the brain’s. Research done by Wake Forest Baptist University found that meditative practice has the power to decrease the intensity of pain by 40% and the general unpleasantness of pain by a whopping 57%. Comparatively, morphine and similar painkillers reduce pain only about 25%. The research done by Wake Forest is confirmed by another study conducted by University of Montreal. This study found that those who practiced mindful meditation reported a higher pain tolerance than those who did not meditate.

What is Revolved Chair Pose?

Revolved chair pose, or parivrtta utkatasana in Sanskrit, is a twisting variation of chair pose. The yogi twists the torso to the side, palms pressing together at the chest. The posture requires the strength of chair pose and the flexibility of a deep twist.

Instructions

  • Begin in chair pose.

  • Exhale and press the palms together in front of the chest.

  • Inhale, then exhale and twist to the right. Make sure that the left knee does not move forward.

  • Breathe while holding the pose.

  • On the next inhale, untwist and bring the palms together in front of the chest.

  • Exhale and twist to the left, making sure that the right knee does not move forward.

  • Breathe while holding the pose.
