"Yoga is the ultimate practice. It simultaneously stimulates our inner light and quiets our overactive minds. It is both energy and rest. Yin and Yang. We feel the burn and find our bliss.”

Crystal Water

Gem water, sometimes referred to as crystal-infused water or crystal elixir, is a fantastic method to include crystal healing in regular life. It is thought that because water absorbs a crystal's energetic vibration when you drink it, you are absorbing the healing energy right away. The two basic methods for making gem water are as follows:

The direct method involves placing crystals straight into water; or

Use the indirect technique, which entails separating the water and crystals into two glass jars.

Always examine the chemical makeup of your crystals on the website www.mindat.org to ensure they aren't harmful crystals. Additionally, some crystals contain radioactivity and should never be utilized in any elixir at all, not even through the indirect technique. When in doubt, avoid making the elixir.

How To Make It:

To make gem water using the indirect method, you will need 2 glass containers such as a large glass bowl (which will contain the water) and a smaller glass jar or cup (in which your crystals will go in). The smaller glass jar will need to be able to sit inside the larger glass bowl. Your water should be still water … tap water or mineral water are perfect.

Next, you will need to cleanse and charge your crystals. You also need to set your intention for the gem water.

Once you have cleansed your crystals, place them gently into the smaller glass jar and then position this jar in the middle of the larger glass bowl. Gently pour water into the larger glass bowl, making sure your water does not come into contact with your crystal tumble stones. The vibration of your crystals will pass through the glass and into the water. This is why glass is used instead of metal or plastic.

😇 POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY!

Australian lifeguards now have a camera-equipped drone to keep a watch in the sky for sharks.

For many years, Queensland has utilized nets and baited hook drumlines to keep surfers and beachgoers safe from sharks. However, these more indiscriminate techniques can also harm or kill other marine creatures, including dolphins, dugongs, and turtles, in addition to the sharks themselves.

A trial of SharkSmart Drones that lasted from September 2020 to October 2021 discovered that more sharks, including those larger than six feet and hence potentially dangerous, were seen by drones than were trapped in hooks and nets.

Four beach evacuations were required as a result of the discovery of 48 large sharks out of the 172 total sharks seen. Most of the sightings didn't necessitate an evacuation because the very hazardous shark attacks occur virtually exclusively with bull sharks, tiger sharks, and white sharks.

Ease Into Sleep

Whether you experience chronic or intermittent insomnia, a program of relaxing asana and easy meditation performed at bedtime can help you slow down the mind and body and ease the transition into slumber, says yoga teacher and sleep scientist Roger Cole.

Cole suggests starting in Salamba Paschimottanasana (Supported seated forward bend). Sit on several folded blankets or a bolster, facing a chair. Place a blanket or other padding on the chair, and lean forward, resting your head and arms on the seat.

Stay there for three to five minutes. If you have time, experiment with other supported forward bends (seated or standing), with your head resting on a chair, and block a pillow. Or fold over your hips in Balasana (child's pose), with your head supported.

Next, slowly move into supported Viparita Karani (Legs-up-the-wall-pose), using a folded blanket or two to support your pelvis and sacrum; let the tailbone hang off the edge of the blanket.

Relax here for 10 to 20 minutes. Before lying down to sleep, sit crosslegged in Sukasana(easy pose), with your pelvis elevated on one or more folded blankets and your back against the wall, spine long, and shoulders relaxed.

Allow your thoughts to arise and just watch them float by. When you notice that you’ve begun to follow a thought, simply notice that this has happened. This thought- watching becomes your new thought to watch, without judgment. Start with five minutes a try sitting for longer periods over time. And then, when it’s time to sleep, cover your eyes with something that provides both darkness and very gentle pressure, like an eye bag.
