TODAY'S LEARNINGConnecting With Your Divine Self 

The Divine Self, or the Higher Self, as it is also known, is a theory shared by Hindus and New Age thought alike. According to these beliefs, the Divine Self is part of the Self that is even higher than the soul. It is the true self essence of the Universe that dwells in your being, the source of all light and life within you, and your real reason for living.

What gives you power and makes you wonder is your Divine self. It is the spiritual journey of the light at the center of your being that decided to be born at this time. Since the moment you started living this lifetime and from the moment you were born in previous lives, it has been conscious and thinking. People think that the body and the physical world, where we live, are just vehicles for the Higher Self.

If you’ve ever experienced synchronicities, where coincidences that are too uncanny to be coincidental occur in your life, you may be in the process of connecting with your higher self.

How To Connect To Your Higher Self: 

If you want to get closer to your Divine Self, this practice will help you find direction, peace, harmony, and light through its greater knowledge. Believers also say that you can more easily turn away from the distractions of the physical world and return to the light, love, and power of this eternal Self.

  1. Sit Still

Find a peaceful place to relax. Set your desire to connect with your Divine Self and receive its good energy, love, inspiration, transformation, awareness, and consciousness. Since the Divine Self transcends mind and body, silence is essential.

2. Let Your Thoughts Go

In order to let go of any unfavorable mental patterns, picture yourself as having limitless intellect, unconditional love, and all-knowing knowledge and gaze out from that perspective.

For a minute, empty your mind. Leave the outside world behind and beg your Divine Self to pull you in. Release any ideas or beliefs that prevent you from connecting with your Divine Self or getting its gifts to strengthen your connection.

3. Speak To Your Divine Self

Try asking for help, wisdom, or an answer as you enter the silence. You can say or think this. Silence allows the higher self to share its wisdom, power, and love with you. Allow your higher self to be your spiritual guide.

After calling on your Divine Self in quiet, observe your new ideas. This increases power, love, wisdom, guidance, wealth, mental growth, and intelligence.

4. Be Open

Afterward, you may receive an inner message that may feel like you giving yourself a message, which is totally normal. Contact may occur through energy, calm, inner knowing, an answer, a deeper inhale, or other means. If you don't sense or recognize a reaction, that's okay. Just know that by simply intending to connect, is already a great step forward. This will give you clarity, energy, or motivation that will unfold at the right time.

This mediation works best in short 10- or 20-second sessions throughout the day. Even a short pause to ask for energy or wisdom during a busy day is a great way to connect with your Divine Self.

POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY

In 2022, China added more solar power output than any other country before it. Clean Energy Wire says that the country put in 89 gigawatts of solar power, which is more than all of Germany's solar output. This increase is due to a combination of factors, including government laws, technical breakthroughs, and reduced prices.

One of the main reasons for China's solar boom is that the government has a big goal to get 25% of its energy from non-fossil sources by 2030. This goal was set as part of China’s 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) and reiterated in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025). To reach this goal, the Chinese government has put in place a number of policies, such as feed-in taxes, subsidies, and tax benefits.

FOOD FOR THE SOULAyurveda Spring Recipes: Refreshing Quinoa Dish

A refreshing recipe with mint may be just what your body is asking for to combat springtime allergies. It's also perfect to whip up for a spring picnic because it's light and won't spoil while you're out enjoying the sunshine.

This dish essentially serves up a mix of grain with fresh, zesty herbs. Inspired by tabbouleh, it substitutes clearing mint for parsley, and light, protein-rich quinoa for wheat. Raw onions add crunchy texture. Give this zesty recipe a try, or mix it up a little with your own ingredients and let us know how it goes!

Ingredients

1/4 tsp BLACK PEPPER 

1 c CILANTRO 

2 whole LIME 

2 tbsp MINT 

.37 c OLIVE OIL 

1 c QUINOA 

1/4 c RED ONION (RAW) 

1 tsp SALT (MINERAL SALT)

Instructions

Boil quinoa in 2c water for 15 minutes or until soft. Do not over-stir or overcook, to avoid quinoa turning to mush. Finely chop mint and onions. Gently mix all ingredients together. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
