Expand Self-Love Outward

Take a moment to pause and locate your heart center. Inquire as to how you can be more loving and what boundaries I should let go of. Love has no resentment, so ask your heart to guide you in forgiving. The true self can never be hurt, only the self-image holds the grudges. To fully love yourself, you must be able to forgive. Let go of all the narratives you and others have made about yourself, and just be yourself. How can I help others around me more effectively?

What special gifts can I provide the world?

How may I unconditionally show kindness and compassion to others?

Bring forth the attributes of your heart. Repeat each of the following words aloud a few times while keeping your eyes open or closed as comfort dictates.

• Peace

• Harmony

• Joy

• Compassion

• Kindness

• Love

Let these attributes spread throughout your entire body. Allow them to occupy your thoughts and feelings. Cast a loving aura about yourself and send it out into the world. As you surround yourself with these traits, you bless everyone around you and serve as a shield of protection. Anytime during the day, when you feel like you could use some more love and support, you can repeat these attributes along with any others you would like to add.

True love, like silence cannot be created but, when we allow ourselves to slip beyond all the noise, confusion and all that we are not, we will discover the silent magnificence of pure love waiting to embrace us. We will lie deeply in love's arms when we give everything up to and for love. Nourished, nurtured, safe and secure, finally home.

Let’s finish with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who expressed it perfectly with, “Love shall forever shine on our way and the light will guide our steps, whether we go slow or fast. The light of love shall forever be with us on our way. Love shall forever be the anchor of life. We shall be in love and love shall be in us. We shall live in love, shall grow in love and shall find fulfillment in love eternal.”

POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY

Some of the world’s biggest soy producers have pledged to halt deforestation in vulnerable regions of South America by the middle of the decade.

Eight firms said in a joint statement that deforestation linked to soy production would end in the Chaco, Cerrado and Amazon biomes in 2025, and conversion of “non-forest primary native vegetation” would cease by 2030. The companies include Bunge and Cargill, whose operations in Brazil are behind almost a third of soy imports to Europe.

Conservationists however rounded on the measure – announced at Cop28 – warning that other forested areas were excluded from the commitments. They also point out it leaves the door open for non-forest ecosystems to be cleared for soy agriculture for at least another six years.

“The soy traders need to rip up this Cop28 soy document and instead should urgently commit to an immediate ban on all soy-related deforestation and natural ecosystem conversion throughout their global soy supply chains,” said Alex Wijeratna, senior director at Mighty Earth.
