TODAY'S LEARNING
Face Yoga
If you’ve heard of face yoga or stumbled upon it during a late-night scroll on TikTok, you may have some questions. For starters, does it involve practicing crow pose with your face or balancing on your forehead? Thank goodness, no.
Face yoga, on the other hand, is a method of toning, strengthening, and training the muscles in the jaw, neck, and face to enhance look. It may help smooth your complexion and reduce fine lines. It's also simple to attempt for anyone: face yoga can be done anywhere and doesn't require a studio membership. You may now work on your face exercise by exchanging your mat for a mirror.
Face yoga benefits
Face, neck and jaw exercises can:
Boost your muscle tone.
Encourage a calm and younger-looking appearance
Boost oxygen and blood flow
Skin detoxification
Drainage of the lymphatic system
Reduce puffiness and brighten your complexion
Provide a more sculpted appearance
Face yoga doesn't require you to set aside an hour of your day for it. The Face Yoga Method's developer, Danielle Collins, suggests doing at least 20 minutes six days a week. To maximize results, persistence is essential, just like with any training regimen. Collins does, however, argue that something is better than nothing, and after two weeks, face yogis can start to see long-term improvements in their face and neck in addition to a minor improvement right away.
For those who are new to face yoga, Collins suggests these three easy poses that come with detailed instructions.
1. The Owl
Thanks to their wide saucer-like eyes and extra eyelids, no other animal looks as alert as the owl. These workouts minimize wrinkles and firm the forehead.
Make a big “C” shape with your thumbs and index fingers.
Place your index fingers just above and parallel to your eyebrows and your thumbs on your cheeks.
Pull down with the index fingers while raising your eyebrows and widening your eyes.
Hold for two seconds, relax and repeat.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 three more times.
Hold this position for 10 seconds.
2. Circle the Eyes
The eyes reveal a restless night to the entire world in addition to serving as a window into our souls. With the following movements, eliminate toxins and reduce puffiness and dark circles beneath the eyes.
Place your middle fingers on the outer edge of the eyebrows.
Gently tap around your eyes, tracing the top of your eyebrows and continuing under your eye to the top of your cheekbones.
Continue to tap the inside corners of your eye.
Repeat, moving in the opposite direction and making little tapping motions. This aims to reduce eye wrinkles, boost circulation and relax the muscles.
With your index fingers, stroke just under your eyes very gently from the nose outwards four times to relax the eye area.
3. Swan Neck
Swans have graceful, delicate necks that are quite beautiful. This workout firms the creases and wrinkles on the sides of your face and neck while toning and lifting the neck muscles.
Look straight ahead with your chin level.
Turn your head to the right, even with your right shoulder, and tilt your head backward. For six to eight seconds, hold.
Return to step 1. Turn your head to the left and even with your left shoulder. Tilt your head back and hold for six to eight seconds.
Repeat the exercise three times.

POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY
The European Union has struck a note for sustainability by banning the destruction of unsold clothes and footwear.
Big retailers have two years to get in line with the new measure, while SMEs have been granted up to six years to comply. It’s part of a broader sustainability drive aimed at tackling premature obsolescence and making products easier to repair and upgrade.
MEP Alessandra Moretti (pictured) has spearheaded the legislation and said it was time to “end the model of ‘take, make, dispose.’”
“Sustainable products will become the norm, allowing consumers to save energy, repair and make smart environmental choices when they are shopping,” she said. “Banning the destruction of unsold textiles and footwear will also contribute to a shift in the way fast fashion manufacturers produce their goods.”
FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Ayurveda Recipes: Rose Petal Cookies with Almonds and Cherries
Ayurveda tells us that cakes and cookies provoke Kapha, bog the circulation, and cause mucus. Our body wishes we would abstain from them. Yet our taste buds, not to mention our friends, continue to tempt us with baked delights. And why wouldn't they? It's the traditional time for celebration, and in many cultures, a sweet is considered a very special offering. You shouldn't deny yourself the joy of festitivties.
In response, we've designed a seven step process to make desserts healthier. For example, spelt, ghee, and raw sugar are winning alternatives substantially healthier than wheat, butter and white sugar. Cardamom clears the tendency of flour, sugar and fats to build mucus. Tart cherry stimulates digestive juices.
Rose petals are cooling, anti-inflammatory in the GI, and soothing to the heart especially when mixed with sweeteners. Pitta people are naturally attracted to beauty. They are highly sensitive to and ashamed of off-putting smells. The scent of a rose calms Pitta.

1/2 tsp CARDAMOM

Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring in one direction only for about 5 minutes. Let stand additional five minutes. Resume stirring in the same direction for another 5 minutes.
Scoop a teaspoon of cookie dough. Sprinkle some sugar and rose petals on the top and bottom, then place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake twenty minutes or until edges are browned.
