Feel It or Let Go

Meditation is now for many a daily practice. a technique that leads us into a fully surrendered state where we are free of identity, memory, and thought. Using breath practice to turn off beta brain patterns, which enables us to be peaceful, at peace, and free from the ego and the need to know how life will pan out in the present. From here, we are aware that life will provide for us naturally abundantly as it develops.

When we take the time to examine our life and ask ourselves why we act in certain ways, we may answer this question. Why do we choose the decisions that we do? How do we feel about those decisions? It becomes apparent that the driving forces are often around pride, anger, desire, fear, grief, guilt or shame. Unless we take the necessary steps to let them go, each of these energetic signatures remains with us. The 'Letting Go' strategy is the most straightforward, efficient, and successful way to accomplish this.

As previously mentioned, the Letting Go technique starts by guiding you into a surrendered/meditative state. This is typically accomplished by following your inner and outer breath and relaxing your body and mind. Once you're here, you're encouraged to let go of your ego and feel into difficult feelings without passing judgment on them. All the associated thoughts that have built up with those feelings also go away when they do.

This insight aligns with empirical studies. Neurophysiology and psychology are integrated in the scientific hypothesis of Gray-La Violette. According to their research, sentiment tones help to organize memories and thoughts (Gray-La Violette, 1981). Thoughts are categorized in the memory store according to the different emotional tones that are connected to those thoughts. Thus, when we give up or let go of a sensation, we release ourselves from all the thoughts that go along with it. - From "Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender," by Dr. David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.

Where to start? Write a list of the difficult and challenging areas of your life. Examine each one individually and ask yourself, "How do they make me feel?" When you're in a meditative state, let yourself become connected to those energies. Just be with them without passing judgment or attempting to alter them. It is impossible to do both at once, so if your mind starts to chatter, let it go and re-establish your connection with the sensation. Calculate a score of 1 to 10, with 1 representing a low sensation. The intensity of those feelings fades as you stay with them until you are at peace.

The wonderful thing about this approach is that you don't have to go into great detail about the causes and reasons behind your emotions—all you have to do is give yourself permission to feel them rather than suppressing or denying them. With practice this technique can be done alone. At first, having someone with you to hold the space and energies for you could be beneficial. You've been freed from internal strife and are now at peace with the outside world, with the ability to make the decisions that are best for you.

Salmon Return to the Heart of UK for First Time in 100 Years After Dam Removal: ‘It’s very rewarding’

In the north-central English county of Derbyshire, the removal of a dam has hundreds of salmon swimming up a beloved river once again.

It’s the first time in 100 years that salmon have reached so far up the River Derwent, and it’s caused quite a stir among the locals.

While the industrial activity in the East Midlands which first drove Atlantic salmon out of the Derwent is now gone, there were still weirs and other obstacles the fish can’t overcome on their journey upstream.

After years of feeding in the ocean, the incredible salmon can return hundreds of miles upstream to find the same stretch of river—even the exact same tributary—where they were born in order to breed and lay eggs.

It’s one of the most famous journeys in the animal kingdom, but it’s one the citizens of Derbyshire are only recently getting to know again.

“We’d started to see large salmon turning up in the Derwent in winter,” Dr. Tim Jacklin, a Conservation Officer for the Wild Trout Trust, told the UK Natural History Museum.
