Unity
We need to know on a deep, deep level that we’re not separate from God. We share a commonality with all other living things on this earth plane as well as with nature. All of us are divine and interconnected. A natural outcome of realizing this and feeling profoundly connected is long-lasting contentment.
Nature
We can also spend as much time as we can with Mother Earth. In other words, go outside and take advantage of the riches that nature offers. Yoga in the Ayurvedic tradition tells us that in order to be content and healthy, we must live in harmony with nature. It informs us that one of the main drawbacks of contemporary existence is our estrangement from nature. So, get outside every day. Walk adorable doggies. During the winter, make snowmen. In the summer, go swimming in open bodies of water, and in the spring and fall, go for long walks. (When you get grounded through "earthing," you can also feel a connection to nature.)
Meditation
The most effective technique to reach your soul essence, which is unchanging, filled with love, light, and unending happiness, is probably through meditation. Try spending some time each day in silent reflection, even if it's just for a few minutes. Because it feels so amazing, you'll eventually want to extend your meditation sessions. Ever wonder what makes the Dalai Lama so joyful? His long hours of meditation practice have everything to do with his Buddha-like contentment.
Self-Care
Practice self-care. By giving yourself the kind of loving care you deserve and consuming whole meals rich in micronutrients, you may promote your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This is key to internal happiness because nutrition, good sleep, relaxation, and radical self-care keeps us feeling our best. When we properly take care of ourselves, calm happiness develops inside of us that lasts throughout our lives.
Taking Care of Others
We also want to be kind to others. One of the major roads to happiness, according to Tibetan Buddhism, is to have loving compassion for all living things. Consider how you might be more unselfish and helpful by reducing your ego. Being of service fosters happiness since it links you to all other living things. While being kind, we must also work on accepting who we are. This is essential for developing internal contentment over the long term.

Ayurveda Summer Recipes: RAW ZUCCHINI NOODLES WITH BASIL & AVOCADO SAUCE

Ingredients
1 c AVOCADO
1 tbsp BASIL
1/2 whole LIME
1 tbsp PARSLEY (FRESH)
1/4 tsp SALT (MINERAL SALT)
3/4 c WATER
4 c ZUCCHINI
Instructions
1. Wash your zucchinis well. With a julienne cutter or spiralizer, slice the zucchinis length-wise to create your noodles or "zoodles." You can also use a knife to cut noodle-width strips. Place them in a bowl and set aside.
2. In a blender, combine two whole avocados, your basil, parsley, lime juice, water, and salt. Blend on high until thoroughly smooth.
3. Combine your noodles with your sauce and toss. Garnish with fresh black pepper, fresh parsley, coconut flakes, nutritional yeast, pine nuts, or all of them! Enjoy!
