HOW TO:So' Hum Meditation
So'hum is one of the most universal mantras and is commonly used by beginning meditation practitioners because you can easily link it to your breath. You should close your eyes and start taking deep breaths to advance this mantra. Pay attention to your third eye, which is located above your eyes and in the center of your brow. Simply maintain your attention on the third eye center throughout several inhalations and exhalations. Imagine the word "so" entering through your nostrils and exiting through your third eye as you breathe in. Watch "hum" curling back down and out your nostrils as you exhale. Again, inhale with “so” and watch it travel up and out of your third eye center, then watch “hum” as you exhale, traveling back down and out through the nostrils. You might notice energy waking up in this part of your brain as you do this. Simply allow this energy to be as you observe it growing.

DID YOU KNOW?
Yoga carries many surprising health benefits. For example, healing yoga practices have been shown to significantly lower high blood pressure.
This is mainly due to the deep breathing component. Yoga teaches you to take slow and deep breaths, which increases sympathetic nerve activity and reduces vagal cardiac tone, lowering stress and high blood pressure.

What is Balancing Butterfly Pose?
Balancing butterfly pose is a variation of malasana, or garland pose. Here, the yogi balances on the toes with the hands in prayer. The pose stretches the feet and develops both strength and balance.
Instructions
Begin standing with the feet together.
Exhale and lower into a squat.
Place the fingertips on the floor in front of the feet to find stability. Open the knees wide and lift onto the toes, bringing the balls of the feet and heels to touch.
Slowly bring the hands to prayer in front of the chest and then toward the sky.
Breathe while holding the pose.
Place the fingertips on the floor, bring the knees together, and inhale to stand.
Benefits of Balancing Butterfly Pose
Stretches the feet, opens the hips, develops balance, and strengthens the core!
