TODAY'S LEARNINGThe Law Of Karma

The rule of Karma, a global spiritual concept that states that you reap what you sow, is central to the yoga philosophy. The results of one's present goals, ideas, behaviors, and actions are known as one's karma. Your current actions sow the seeds for future life events, but your Karma does not determine your destiny. You have the power to actively choose how you react and respond to karmically generated events, which will lessen the effect of your karma both now and in the future. This involves both mental and physical exercises, with the mental mindset having much more influence than the physical action. The real world's continuous change, which yogis refer to as Samsara, or the "spinning wheel of life and death," is related to the law of karma. Virtue and vice, joy, and pain, attachment, and repulsion, are said to be the six spokes of this wheel. These Karma types serve as the spokes that hold us to the wheel and keep it turning. To be freed from the dull and painful world of Samsara, one must destroy the spokes of Karma.

Having either good or poor karma is unwanted, but both are undesirable. By preventing further karmic buildup, yoga aims to break the circle of karma. According to the yogis, acting selflessly, without vanity, and without the desire for any form of compensation is the only way to avoid creating Karma. The highly regarded spiritual condition of Nirvana is the release from Karma and Samsara. However, achieving Nirvana is not a requirement; any decrease in Karma will enhance one's life, well-being, and contentment.

WEEKLY ASTROLOGY

Before beginning its second annual retrograde period from April 21 to May 15, Mercury will reach Taurus on April 3.

Taurus is organized, determined, calm, and strong. It is stable and productive, stays true to its goals, and doesn't rush. It reminds us to see the beauty in the journey and to enjoy every step along the way as much as we do when we finally get to our goal.

When Mercury is in Taurus, time, space, and a slower pace are given to us. We are asked to fight against our tendency to go too fast and miss important information. We are instead asked to stay with whatever we are thinking, learning, or saying.

Also this week the full Moon will be in Libra. The air sign, which is shown by scales, tells us that we can't be in balance if there are parts of ourselves that we can't touch, see, admit, care for, or accept.

These next few days we are given the chance to turn our ideas, thoughts, and wishes into a trip that not only helps us make our dreams come true, but also lets us enjoy and savor each step along the way.

POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY

Researchers have captured click-like noises made by plants that are audible only to them. These noises vary based on the specific stressors that each type of plant is under.

According to the Tel Aviv University researchers, they emit sounds comparable to the popping of popcorn but at high frequencies that are above the human ear's spectrum of perception.

The study team was led by Professor Lilach Hadany from the School of Plant Sciences and Food Security. "We found that plants typically emit sounds when they are under stress, and that each plant and each type of stress is associated with a specific identifiable sound," she said. Despite being inaudible to the human ear, a variety of animals, including bats, mice, and insects, are likely able to detect the noises that plants emanate.

LEARN SANSKRIT

Kosha (koh -shah): Sanskrit's word for "covering" or "sheath" is kosha. The koshas are also known as the five sheathes as a result. The Upanishads define the koshas as a system of five levels of awareness that run from the physical body to the center of the self. Through the koshas that make up one's being, practicing yoga helps a person understand themselves better and gets them closer to their true Self.

MANTRA OF THE WEEKNavagraha Mantra

Navagraha mantras are helpful chants that act as potent therapeutic tools, balancing out the unfavorable effects of the planets in our lives. In determining a person's physical and emotional wellbeing, these are crucial. The Sanskrit word "Navagraha" means "nine" and "Graha" means "to take or hold," respectively.

In order to help us get through challenging times, Vedic practices have provided Navagraha Mantras for stabilizing the unfavorable planets in a horoscope chart. In essence, these Navagraha Mantras are beej (seed) mantras that resonate at a degree comparable to that of the planets. These mantras are sacred Sanskrit hymns that, when repeated, can balance the opposing energies of the planets while enhancing the positive ones.

If you chant these chants every day, the planets will have a positive influence on all aspects of your existence. Any health issues, money issues, or conflicts are the result of their unfavorable actions. As a result, one will experience greater mental and spiritual tranquility.
