Prana- Life Force Energy
Prana, which means "life force," is the essence of ether and air. The life-sustaining force known as prana keeps all living things alive. The most obvious way to see prana is in the way we breathe. When we take our final breath, the prana's active power is still with us. Prana is involved in breathing on both a cellular and a whole-body level. Prana is also present in awareness, so when we bring our attention to a place or an idea, we give it Prana.
All of our voluntary and involuntary movements, as well as all of our sensory and motor functions, are made possible by our life force. On the level of the mind, prana keeps us aware, stirs our thoughts, feelings, and memories, and controls how stable and how often our emotions change.
Prana can be fed by taking deep breaths, especially through the nose, and by doing pranayama exercises. Our cells are nourished by deep inhalations, and poisons are expelled from the body as gas during complete exhalations.
Everyone and everything has prana, even fruits, and vegetables. As soon as we pick an apple from a tree, it starts to lose its prana. However, prana is at its highest when we eat the freshest organic foods grown nearby.
