TODAY'S LEARNING
Harness the Power of Positive Delusion: When Unrealistic Hope Beats Limiting Beliefs

We’ve all had that little voice in our head saying, “That’s impossible. You’re dreaming too big.” But guess what? Sometimes, a dash of “unrealistic” optimism is exactly what we need to move forward and crush those limiting beliefs!

The Magic of “A Little Delusion”

Imagine being just delusional enough to believe in something extraordinary—like running a marathon when you’ve never jogged in your life or starting a bold new business against all odds. By entertaining these “far-fetched” dreams, you engage your creativity and passion, and often discover you’re more capable than you ever realized.

Why Sometimes “Unrealistic” = Success

A sprinkle of positive delusion keeps you from getting bogged down by fear and naysayers. It’s that secret sauce that drives athletes to break records and entrepreneurs to build world-changing products. It’s not about ignoring reality, but about challenging the belief that “I can’t.” When you hold onto the tiniest thread of possibility, you stand a chance of making it happen.

Flipping Fear on Its Head

We often let fear masquerade as “realism.” But what if you gave yourself permission to be wildly, joyfully optimistic? Instead of fixating on everything that could go wrong, imagine all the ways things could go spectacularly right. You’ll find that where there’s hope, there’s energy—and often a burst of creativity to figure out how to make your lofty dream come true.

Ready to Try It?

  1. Dream a Little Bigger: Write down a goal that sounds borderline impossible.

  2. Visualize the Win: Close your eyes and picture every detail of achieving it—how you’d feel, how others might react, and the changes it would bring to your life.

  3. Break It Down: Turn your dream into steps you can manage: research, find mentors, or take classes. You’ll soon discover that the impossible slowly becomes possible.

Don’t let limiting beliefs stop you before you even begin. A pinch of positive delusion is the antidote to self-doubt. Embrace it, and you might just make the impossible happen!

TOGETHER WITH MOOD
These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2023

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

CRYSTAL OF THE DAY

POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY

A top court upheld a historic youth climate judgment…

Young climate activists in the US state of Montana celebrated a historic supreme court win this week after a ruling affirmed their right to a “safe and liveable climate”.

The judgement upheld an earlier district court decision, which saw 16 young plaintiffs – aged as young as five – successfully sue the state over its pro-fossil fuel policies.

Their testimony included personal stories of climate change affecting their health, income and heritage. Nonetheless, Montana moved to overturn the 2023 judgement, but its bid was rejected in Wednesday’s ruling, which also obliges the state to consider the environmental and public health impacts of future fossil fuel projects.

“This ruling is a victory not just for us, but for every young person whose future is threatened by climate change,” said Rikki Held, the lawsuit’s 23-year-old lead plaintiff. “We have been heard, and today the Montana supreme court has affirmed that our rights to a safe and healthy climate cannot be ignored.”

FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Ayurveda Recipes: Yogurt Cheese With Pistachios, Sugar & Saffron

Shrikhand is a delectable indulgence and, like ice cream, is Kapha provoking and artery clogging. Yet, shrikhand has several important edges over ice cream:

First, yogurt is fermented and more easily digestible than heavy cream. Second, ice cream usually contains dairy mixed with eggs, a bad food combination. Third, shrikhand contains spices like saffron, cardamom and nutmeg that break up the mucous forming tendencies of dairy. Nevertheless, Kapha beware! Not every dish in an Indian restaurant is Ayurvedic.

Ingredients

1 c RAW SUGAR
1/4 c PISTACHIO
4 c HOMEMADE YOGURT
1/4 tsp CARDAMOM
2 pinch SAFFRON
2 pinch NUTMEG
1 tbsp MILK

Instructions

Place yogurt in cheesecloth and hang from the kitchen faucet overnight to drain the liquid. Grind the saffron with a mortar and pestle. Pour 1 tbsp of warm milk into the mortar and soak the saffron powder for ten minutes. Chop pistachios.

Mix together all ingredients. Place in muffin tins. Chill and turn over. Garnish with rose petals.
