A 94-year-old retiree still hits the gym twice a week to fit in a two-hour workout and has no plans to stop.

“Super” Mario Sanna considers the gym a “second home,” and the gym rats there his “second family.”

The former railway engineer said his job laying train tracks kept him in good shape, but he fell in love with the gym when started going to stay fit post-retirement.

That was 30 years ago. His normal rigorous workout routine includes exercise bikes, rowing machines, leg presses, and biceps curls, but he’s not beyond a pilates class.

“I use everything the gym supplies—any type of machinery, from spinning classes to lifting weights and going on the walking machine,” said Sanna. “In my opinion, the body needs to be moving. I probably keep moving even when I’m asleep. It’s a machine itself. If you leave it idle, it begins to deteriorate.”

First Solar is opening its fourth American photovoltaic solar module manufacturing facility in Alabama.

This new facility is a strategic push by the company to scale its US manufacturing base to support the effort to decarbonize the American economy.

Alabama’s facility is expected to produce 3.5-gigawatt dc of panels annually.

3. Japan fans win praise for stadium cleaning at World Cup 2022

Japan cleaned up on and off the field at the World Cup in Qatar on Wednesday.

After its national team delivered a thrilling 2-1 upset victory over Germany on Nov. 23, Japanese fans continued a celebrated tradition by staying to clean up all the trash at Khalifa International Stadium before leaving the venue to celebrate the win.

The fans from Japan were applauded for the act of respect as they could be seen roaming the seats with garbage bags to pick up all the trash accumulated during the match.

4. First CO2 Battery in the World Enters the US Market

Energy Dome has signed a deal to export the world’s first carbon dioxide battery to the U.S.

The battery can store huge amounts of energy from renewable sources, including wind and solar.

The CO2 batteries can be quickly deployed anywhere in the world and use materials such as carbon dioxide, steel, and water.
