One study found that when compared to pessimists, “Visionary Work Optimists”—people in the top quartile for optimism as compared to their peers—are 40% more likely to get a promotion over the next year and six times more likely to be highly engaged at work.

Unlike pessimists who might assume a job promotion is out of their control, visionary work optimists might have believed they had influence over their potential promotion and took the necessary actions to put themselves ahead rather than because they manifested it.

Using the Science of Manifestation

If you want to become more upbeat and hopeful, begin by looking at where your present perspective came from.

Age and heredity are just two of the many variables that influence perspective and expectations, but our life experiences have a major influence.

21 Black Rhinos Successfully Moved to New Kenya Home With Space to Breed–Hailing Return of Species After 50 yrs

The Kenya Wildlife Service celebrated the successful transfer of 21 eastern black rhinos to establish a new viable breeding population for the species that was on the brink of extinction decades ago.

In an 18-day exercise executed by highly trained capture and veterinary experts, the Loisaba Conservancy received the 21 rhinos from three different locations, becoming the 17th sanctuary in Kenya where the mammoth animals can roam and intermingle.

“It’s incredibly exciting to be part of the resettlement of rhinos to a landscape where they’ve been absent for 50 years,” said Tom Silvester, CEO of Loisaba Conservancy.

Instructions

  • Begin sitting with the knees bent and feet flat on the floor.

  • Inhale and lift the legs, balancing on the sitz bones.

  • Grasp the big toes with the first three fingers and extend the legs straight and upward, finding balance on the buttocks without rounding the spine.

  • Breathe while holding the pose.

  • Exhale and release.
