TODAY'S LEARNINGAncient Yogi Texts - A mini guide on Bhagavad Gita
What is it?
One of India's most revered and well-known religious writings is the Bhagavad Gita. The Bhagavad Gita, a collection of 700 Sanskrit texts that is a component of the Mahabharata epic, was composed in the third or fourth century BCE. The conversation between Prince Arjuna and Sri Krishna, his charioteer, companion, and advisor, is known as "The Gita" in popular culture. It is found in Book VI, Chapters 23–40, and is said to be written by the teacher Vyasa. According to a Hindu myth, Ganesha, an elephant-headed god, wrote it down after fracturing one of his tusks to use as a quill. Vyasa provided the narration.
Yogic Philosophy
Within Krishna's answers to Arjuna's predicament, the Gita integrates and elaborates upon the yogic concepts of karma, dharma, reincarnation, atman, brahman, maya, and moksha. Arjuna is taught by Krishna how to apply these fundamental principles to his life in a patient and persuasive manner in order to end his pain and achieve freedom and everlasting happiness. And by hearing Krishna's analogies and examples, we too can better comprehend and put these lessons into practice in our everyday lives.
The Bhagavad Gita is a special piece of literature because it is regarded as both Smriti (ancient stories) and Shruti (divine instruction). The Gita is a spiritual book about the internal fight for self-mastery and the achievement of happiness through yoga as well as an old tale of Krishna leading Arjuna into combat.

For the most accurate interpretation of the text, you might want to examine several translations and comments. Spend some time thinking about what you've studied and how it relates to your work.
You might want to use these inquiries to encourage consideration and reflection: What does this chapter teach me about what it means to be alive? What does this segment reveal about the universe's nature? What does this chapter teach me regarding the practice of yoga and the way to genuine knowledge?

POSITIVE NEWS OF THE DAY
This is a cow called Happy!
The Holstein calf was born with a smiley face on one side of his body, a result of the naturally random black and white markings typical of their breed.
Mrs. Megan Coster told ABC Australia, "We've seen some number sevens or love hearts on the head and a few other strange markings, but we've never seen anything that looks like a smiley face before."
Rather than joining the mating bull herd, Happy’s unique markings have landed him a role on the farm in perpetuity.
