Winter Mindfulness

Manifest a life of your dreams...

Quote of the day...

“When you listen to yourself, everything comes naturally. It comes from inside, like a kind of will to do something. Try to be sensitive. That is yoga.”

WEEKEND TEACHINGS
Winter Mindfulness

1. A Cozy Gratitude Practice

Find a peaceful area to comfortably recline for ten to fifteen minutes after making a cup of tea or another warm beverage of your choosing. For this activity, you may want to sit next to a window so that you can see outside.

Take some time to write down all the things for which you are thankful this season while you sit in quiet reflection and enjoy your warm beverage. The warmth of your house, the hot drink in your hand, and the technology that keeps you in touch with your loved ones are a few things you might think about.

2. Mindful Nature Walk Outdoors

Tuning into the unadulterated aspects of winter can be facilitated by engaging in mindfulness practices outside. After dressing suitably for the local climate, go outside. Proceed to a natural setting and start your mindful nature stroll there.

As you stroll around the terrain, record the hues, facets, and attributes you perceive. What feelings do these stir up in you? What sensation does your body have? What sensation does your heart have?

3. Mindful Journaling and Self-Reflection

Another mindfulness exercise that is wonderful for winter is mindful self-reflection and journaling. Cozy up with a blanket, a journal, and a pen. Next, start thinking about how you are feeling on this specific winter's day.

Here are a few journaling prompts to think about:

I am appreciative of today because...

Winter is an opportunity for me to…

Today, I am aware of…

4. Slow Mindful Movement Practices

We may feel compelled to try out slower movement and workout approaches throughout the winter. If this resonates with you, you may want to look into mindful movement exercises like qi gong, mindful walking, hatha yoga, or yin yoga.

5. Mindful Eating Exercise

Many of us have the good fortune to eat warm, filling cuisine all year round. Prepare a warm meal for yourself slowly and attentively, and then eat the first few bites completely present. As you take those deliberate, slow bites, pay attention to how your body, heart, and mind are feeling.

Recognize the gift of the food on your plate in silence to incorporate appreciation into your routine. You might extend this exercise to include writing down anything else that helps you get through the winter.

About: Maybe you already manifest regularly or you’ve heard of it, but never tried it. Manifesting means using the power of your thoughts, feelings or beliefs to bring something into your physical reality.

At first, it sounds abstract, but science has proven, everything is made of energy: objects, animals, thoughts, and humans.

There are laws that control how this energy flows and where it goes just as there are laws of gravity and laws of growth. The more you know about these laws the easier it is to navigate the energy you need in the right direction.

No wonder that even stars like Will Smith, Jim Carrey, Oprah Winfrey, and Lady Gaga swear by manifestation as the secret to their success.

Jim Carrey makes it sound really simple. He says: “As far as I can tell, it’s just about letting the universe know what you want and then working towards it while letting go of how it comes to pass.”

Yet, there are reasons why some people are better at manifesting than others.

There are a couple of fundamentals you need to understand in order to apply manifestation effectively. With a little guidance and the right techniques, your best life is waiting for you.

In this book, you’ll learn how to use the law of attraction in every aspect of your life—money, health, relationships, happiness, and in every interaction you have in the world. You’ll begin to understand the hidden, untapped power that’s within you, and this revelation can bring joy to every aspect of your life.

CRYSTAL OF THE DAY

TIP OF THE DAY

Embracing Darkness and Light

The winter season (and the winter solstice in particular) offers us the opportunity to embrace the paradoxes of life – darkness and light, death and rebirth. See if you can make time and space during this season to embrace the multi-dimensionality of your experience. Embrace the opportunity to quiet down and tune inwards and also bathe in the light that begins to grow brighter after the winter solstice passes by.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

For the person who needed to read this today: Your heart will heal, your tears will dry, and your season will change. Rest tonight knowing the storm will end.
